MY CORNER @ RED GALLERIA: February’s Artist
Each month Red Galleria will feature a new local artist in our gallery. We have dedicated a corner section where we will be displaying local artwork. Contact Red Galleria if you or someone you know that would like to showcase their artwork in our gallery.
We are proud to present Catherine S. Adamson for the month of February. Her paintings are beautiful. I love her choice of colour and the energy in each painting. You must come by and see for yourself the texture and liveliness of her passion.

2011 Biography
I am fortunate to live and work in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia. I was born in Vancouver and raised on farms in Langley, where I raised three children. With the children grown, and single again, I returned to school in 1999 to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Artist at the University of the Fraser Valley, graduating in 2003. While there, I held a solo exhibition in university’s gallery with 50 works of art. Next, I spent three years researching, writing and publishing a book. Post book found me back in Vancouver where I began exploring different methods of art-making. My ‘free-flow’ style emerged, and since then I have participated in many exhibitions, both solo and group shows in and around Vancouver. I enjoy painting in the early morning hours and in weekends, when my energy is high. My inspiration is the colours, patterns and rhythms I noticed in nature as I walk through a park or drive along a highway, delighting in the beauty of weeds, grasses and wildflowers. Painting is my passion, my joy and I try to convey that in every piece.
