I took my wife, Taayla, this weekend to watch Kooza, at the old expo site.  I’ve seen a few Circus de Soleil show before so I was quite excited to see what daring stunts they would preform this time.   They did not disappoint, as usual it was entertaining from begin to end.  Even when you are waiting for the show to start there are clowns running around messing with the crowd.  I love the amount of effort they put into the customs, music and story line.  Go watch it live, it will blow you away!!!   I would definitely recommend Kooza or any show from Circus de Soleil.

If you are ever around Broadway and Burrard Street,  there’s a Japanese restaurant you should try out,  Osaka Teppanyaki Seafood and Steakhouse.  Once you enter, you are greeted by a loud “Hello/Welcome,” in Japanese of course.  You then are seated on a shared table with other customers.  After ordering your meal, the fun begins.  A charismatic chief comes out to cooking you food in front of you, just the way you like it.   He will dazzle you with his knife skills and keep you entertained with flaming volcanoes and flashes of fire balls.  The food is great and the atmosphere is amazing.  Red Galleria has just revamped Osaka Teppanyaki Restaurant, on #102 - 1788 W Broadway, with some new paintings.

South East Asian Cultural Heritage Society (SEACHS) is having a party at Red Galleria and Bungalow Vancouver on Sept. 25, 2010.  There will be a special choreograph dance performance and a martial art demonstration.  Live DJ, food and drinks.  Come and experience our unique Asian culture.  Tickets are $15 and available at Red Galleria.

I got a package mailed to me from a good friend of mine, Andrew, from San Fransisco. It was a book, Outliers. He sent it to me because while reading the second chapter, he thought of me. This was the first time anyone had ever sent me a book. My motto was, “If the book was that good… They would make a movie of it!!!” lol

Well, my wife finished the book twice before I had even started reading it. This book was amazing. It talks about how you can master anything if you put your TIME and energy into it. Chapter 2 looks into the advantages of being born in certain months and success in sports, eg. Ice hockey, soccer. And how bands like the Beatles and companies like Microsoft didn’t happen over night. It also looks into great minds and how high IQ scores don’t always equal great success and fortune.
I definitely recommend you go out and buy this book or give me a call… I’ll lend you my copy!!!

I’m so proud of my soccer team, Red Galleria. This was our first time in Div 3 and we came in 1st in our league and finished the season off winning the playoffs. Great Season Guys… Thanks!!!

I’m starting my new painting today. The colour scheme will be White and Yellow. It will be the first time I paint a triptych painting.

It’s a little hard to see now but slowly I will add in more layers of paint.

My friend, Jack, has a beautiful koi pond in is back yard. When I visit him, I could just sit there for hours admiring his koi fish. Yellow, red, white, black, the colours are so amazing. Some for his fishes are over 15 years old he tells me.
